Great news!!!!!!!! It is beautiful outside!

Remember to be taking pictures for the photo challenge. This months verses are Psalm 50: 1-2 and/or Luke 6:21.
If you need a prayer partner let me know and we would love to get you connected with someone!
30 Hr. Famine is coming very soon! Are you ready?? March 27-28 will be the Famine time this year @ the Church!!! Remember to raise money with the packets from upstairs. Also if we reach 6,000 dollars by March 28 then the winning side will get to choose my (Keith's) hair style and color.
Remember on Thursday Nights we will be meeting from 7:30-9PM thru April to finish the book of Revelation. All High Schoolers are welcome!

February Photo Challenge

Photo Challenge time for February..... I have chosen Matthew 6:19-21. Storing up earthly treasures is pointless. This tells us that everything will be useless or rot away if it is not from God. So let this be a fun challenge and a task to take a picture that captures this scene!

I hope that if any of you are struggling because of the things life is throwing at you, you will feel blessed to know that Jesus wants to take your burdens. Don't allow the devil any type of foothold in your life. He loves to sneak his nasty habits and ways right under your nose.

Photo Challenge update!

As I looked for a verse for the photo challenge I thought that it would be good to cover some virtuous , upright lifestyles. So I think the next one or two will cover this topic. Proverbs 21:8 in the NLT says "The guilty walk a crooked path; the innocent travel a straight road." Let me know if you need another verse!

Revelation Study

We studied Chapter 3:1-6 tonight about Sardis.

The Church may think it is alive, other churches or people groups look at this church and say that it is alive, but the truth is that this church is dying.

What the Church needs to see is that it is dying and need to wake up.

The deeds of this church are not complete and it must continue to strive to do the will of God.

A few have not soiled themselves (dirty or other) and have been found clean. The few who have withstood and stand with God, these are the ones that will receive the brilliant white garments and will be with God the Father in eternity.

What an awesome image to see that God dresses us in white even though we are not deserving. The picture of Jesus standing as our intercessor before God the Father explaining that although we are sinful and weak we are made whole, pure, holy and eternally cleansed. How beautiful.

God in His power works outside of time and can take every sin we commit now, before this moment and after and take it the the cross to where Jesus completely wipes it off our record IF we ask for God's forgiveness, believe in Christ. The cool thing though is that it is not just an agreement on paper it is now something that we should want to live out with our lives! What a Joy!

Two thousand WHAT!!!!

Here is a random thought and laughable thing for me to think about. As a child I used to think that it was completely unthinkable that we would ever get past 2000. It seemed so weird to say, write down, talk about, or even mention. I used to seriously think that the world would explode or something on that day. Or the craziness of how every computer was supposed to glitch like crazy on that day and never work again. Well if your computer is that old now it probably doesn't work any more but for different reasons.

I ask a simple question this New Year. Are any of you in need of love and forgivenss? I am really curious to know how each of you are doing this New Year..... Let me know either by e-mail, text, phone or whatever!!! I would love to be able to talk with you guys and girls anytime!!

I will be out of town this week so there will be No PowerSource Youth Group or Going Deeper.

If you need to remember the photo club assignment it is Psalm 19:1-6. Use one of those verses for inspiration! Take lots of photos and if you have multiple good ones that would be great.

Also leave a note if you are interested in being apart of the 30 hr. famine!

Some one you can COUNT on. That friend that listens to you when you are in need. Or even that person that you know is safe to talk to because they just get it. Have any of you found this person? As we talked about this last week I felt like many of you were searching for this type of a friend. Don't forget that I am here to be that listening ear if that is what you want. I will not go up to you every time I see you and say.... DO YOU have a special accountability person yet? Cause that don't work. IF you want it, you need to pursue it.

Be ready this week for a spectacular hip-happening-amazing night full of........well I never reveal that anyways!

The Lord Speaks!!!

As I think about the Lord I remember how amazing his love to me is. I am constantly astounded at how ridiculous the Lord is! For example as I go through the book of Revelation with you guys it is incredible to see how brilliant, bright, full of light, perfect and holy God is. In just the first chapter we see that Jesus is wearing this blinding outfit that completely floors John (literally)!

I hope that each of you youth will take a moment to think about what the Lord is showing you or doing to you right now that proves to you how awesome he is.

If, however, you want to leave a question about the Lord or your confusion at how He could be in your situation leave that note too!

The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in Him. Nahum 1:7

Power

For the next 5 weeks that we have normal youth group we will be now focusing on God's Power! I am excited as we enter this time because I know that it will be really exciting to get to see how God is showing us his power today. Remember that I am open to listening to each of your ideas for new topics. Let me know what it is that is on your minds and I would like to discuss a series that you each want to hear more about. Thank you for your patience and I hope to hear from you all soon!

As I look forward to the weeks to come I am excited to see all of the new faces in youth group. I have a new poster up with lots of your pictures on it so I hope that you get a chance to take a look at some of those.
